New Beginning

Hello my name is Shelford and i am 12 years old in year 7 My highlight of team 5 is meeting new people and teachers and going on trips like Rainbows end and camp in school and out of school.I also like learning new things that can help me in year 8 I have been able to improve in my Reading / Writing and Math Technology /Wood works/Cooking and more. We have been learning about Survivor/Tinkering toys Tools/Dinosaurs and , many many more I've learn’t heaps over the years and months that i have been here.2016 brings a new beginning to look forward to being a role model that are also the leaders of the school I have participated in ki-o rahi and many i hope that i can be sporty and play games tomorrow i want the teacher to be kick back and chill .

The Horror House

The room looks like a mess But I couldn't care less The t.v is beaming Throughout the rotting ceiling A harmless display? A treat for the eye? Perhaps, but be aware For appearances lie I looked in the draws And witnessed old rusty saws The room looked poor Pieces of the ceiling covers the floor                                                                                     Pieces of the wall has being tore                                                                                               The bed is covered In pieces from the wall It smells like trash It also smells like a man that had no shower year after year It feels like i’m in a monster's lair I can see a cool t.v but it dosen’t work The roof and floor needs to be clean without a smirk It looks like a dump area The bed felt like someone wet the bed There was lots of crack on the ground I can smell rat poo I can also see a rotten shoe I can hear rats running around I can also hear a awful sound I can feel something crawling up my arm As it makes its way  i feel really num This room is dirty and also it’s awful and needs more cleaning The floors are Beaming and the roof is screaming It smells like Garbage so much carnage need more varnish So the wooden floors won’t tarnish It looks like trash that has been smashed and clashed When i walk in the room the room gave way then i walked away so i could go to the cafe instead of going the hard way

Immersion Assembly

On Monday we had a immersion assembly.The first act was the Fiapoko parrot in Pt Dingaling this parrot was very annoying it kept bothering all the people.But then!!!!They called the Fiapoko parrot hunter with his Sapelu,Samala,axe.They killed the parrot and ate the parrot/KFC.

Then we had team 1 they were learning about zoo animal's adapting/evolving.Then Mrs King yelled "is that all" mostly everyone laughed like it was a comedy joke.But then Miss Eadie replied and said "No we have Karaoke".The song was Roar by Katie Perry.Some of the teachers started to telling kids to put thier hands up for volunteers to sing.Mrs King's daughter Marika won the competition the prize was a free trip to the zoo.

The next act was team 2 that were learning about Dinosaurs that adapted to kill there predators.They also had a visitor that was Barney the dinosaur .And learning about Paleontologist whats a Paleontologist is a person that studies dinosaur bones. Finaly we had almost finished our assmebly my favorite item was mr J it was a little movie about zaro then it was time to go back to class.        

When something went missing

                    On friday night

In the morning I woke up to have my breakfast then I asked my dad if i could watch tv he said “yes”.I sat down on the soft leather couch to discover that my tv had been stolen.  I saw my ranch slider door had been opened.  And there also was a giant hole in the gate. My dad was very upset and angry because of this incident. I was very scared and emotional someone had been in our house while we were sleeping. My new Baker skateboard, Diamond back bike, my dad’s ipad, gold rings that he had most of his life and his diamond watch were gone. His  phone and many more things were also missing.

My dad called the police who is our neighbour. I was very sad because we had been robbed and some of that stuff had not been insured. The saddest thing was that they robbed us while we were sleeping because what would've happened if we woke up to the intruders. We could’ve been hurt or worse!!!!!

When the police arrived we were so frightened that we were shaking. My dad kept telling us that it would be all right.The police took evidence and fingerprints and had talked to us about this incident that had occurred.

Now we have to save up for these things that had been stolen and they also stole my Brothers motorbike that they dumped at the beach. We found out who did it because they owned up and they had been arrested a week later i was very happy that they were caught and that we had closure.  

SuperMan Adaption

Man of steel...red underwear or blue underwear?   Why did it change? Because the style had changed from then and he looked more stronger/powerful.  

Krypton - what is it? Is a planet that he was bro.  

Why was it important to Superman? Because that's where he was born.  

What part did Superman's parents have in his survival? They put him in a spaceship while Krypton was getting destroyed  

Original powers? Did he fly in the beginning? No 

What changed in term of his super powers? Flying/lazer beam eyes/Strength/Speed/Xray vision.

Daily planet - his workplace...how does he adapt between his human workplace and being a superhero? Working for the NewsPaper/Save the universe.

This movie is about superman adapting to this Environment and his work.The first superman was very lame compared to olden day's.Superman was the first super hero to be made in that time he also upgraded his super moves/Muscles and his action.

First We waited until the little kids ran i was very nervous because I saw the boys Running then my sister was running in year 1 The Crowds were screaming “GO Keyana”  .

Then, The year 2 boys and girls Started to line up on the Starting line When the hand clappy thing went off when the year 2 finished Then were as tied as an Sloth.

Finally The Year 3 boy and girl ran then the year 4 boy and girl Ran and then the Year 5 boy and girl then the Year 6 boy and girl It fell like the time was get faster and faster.

After that It was or turn to my heart was beating fast we lined up on the starting line In was so nervous that i had butterfly then the hand clappy thing when off i ran as fast as i could  when i had finished i was So tired i ran out of breath

I was glad to finish my run i learnt to that i have to not spirit at the start.

Reality trip

5 New Zealanders had went on a trip to the Philippians/Manila so they could find out who to make Coils for our hard dives. What it is like in part of Philippians and how to get money in the Philippians .

Was the environment that there worked in. In Zealand we have go job that get us Wealthy and have food for our kids and siblings and for our friends.Well watching this trip to Philippians i learnt that we take everything for granted and when people think its enough we wanted more and we don't care about any body and what lifestyle we live in.

Frost Bite Rough Draft

Once upon time there were three kids named Byron,John,Diamond and they were really popular.

One day they felt bored of working and wanted to play so the next day they found out a story about a !!!!!giant diamond worth billions !!!!!

For some weeks they planned out how they were going to do this and what equipment they were going to use. So when the day was right they set off to the icy mountains but For getting two important things those were the mountains were guarded by snow leopards and Snow storms were common there .

As they hiked they saw somethings were lurking through the Fog “what is that John” said diamond “i don’t know but it is big ” said John so they try to get a better look “its a leopard no its a snow leopard” They yelled “run ok” said John to Diamond and Byron “a cave” said John.

                    In the Cave

Now in the cave they found a map for the giant diamond but it's in another cave where the snow leopard was lurking. “What's those shiny things over there” They said “its some spears” said Byron “yay were saved” they said.

          

    !!!Fighting off the snow leopard!!!

Now we can kill the snow leopards “go now” said John "yeah we have found the diamond but there is still snow leopard chuck the spears" they said finally we have the diamond .

Managing Time to Complete Assignments

 

For this assignment i am currently in blue i would like to in purple by the end this term. why i am in blue is because i have demonstrated that i have attempted some of my assignment. I have completed more than 75% of the tasks assigned. So to get to purple i am going to concentrate harder and take opportunities when i am given them.          

Zeal zone's

Today For Zeal Zone, Team 5 began ''Tinkering, Tools and Toys.'' Our class spent time brainstorming ways that we could make Pt England a better place to be. I am in a group could matiu, and Ben,Jonhlee. Our Group Name Is Game Freaks.

Anzac story

Very Inspiring

Today in Pt England school, the year 7 and 8 students were given a talk by three famous people who were Marcus Winter, Andrew Patterson, and Louis. They all talked about what they had accomplished with their lives and done when they were children.
Marcus is a sand artist, he is Maori, and he is known as the sandman. 
Andrew does a show on the radio live on Sunday. 
Louis is a fantastic basketball player and video’s himself while playing and also records other famous or awesome people. I will be talking about what happened today and what we did and how they inspired us.

Learning a lesson

On Thursday I was really mean to a girl in my school . I said some nasty thing to her because i wanted to be cool in-front of my mate's. I should'n have been mean in the first place) I also threw a pear at her.
Now i understand what i did to her was bad and i won't do it again . My advice is if friend tell you to do bad thing then there not good friend and you should'n do it.

Koa Ora  my name is Shelford i'm a brother and friend and an a uncle to my neist Ayla. My niece has just started pt England school i’m trying be the i can by looking after her and helping her to get friend. when i saw Ayla for the first time i was shocked how she looked like my sister. When i  trying to look after ayla i  was just think her and how i could be a loving uncle. Not thinking about  that i shouldn't have left the office. This is my AYLA The End   

Poly Fest

Kia Ora and greetings to all. Tomorrow it is Polyfest have you been to Polyfest before?

Well if not you're in luck because i will tell what happened at Polyfest.

Polyfest is a place that people can learn about their cultures and to watch people perform for their schools there is about 20 or more schools that take part in this event.The way i see it is like people being proud of  their cultures and not care what athouths think of them.  

Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning? Awesome isn’t it!.
