The egg
The life cycle begins with the female butterfly attaching her eggs on or near a milk weed plant. The female lays it there so when it turns into a Caterpillar it has something to eat. The eggs are very tiny, round and have ribs.
The Caterpillar
The caterpillar hatches out off the egg which is called the larva stage. It looks like a worm with stripes and has tiny hairs all over its back. When the caterpillar has eaten heaps and is really fat it turns inside out and after it is ready it turn into a chrysalis.
Chrysalis
First the chrysalis or (pupa) is has transform in different stages . like going green after 1 week. Its go’s blue and brown and purple and then black means is ready to come out .
Butterfly
The adult butterfly but did you on than like kitten its can’t open then eyes and butter they can’t fly but it fly a but the butterfly pumps blood in the then wings.
